The Gates of the City: A Lesson on Spiritual Security & Soul Nutrition.

The Gates of the City: A Lesson on Spiritual Security & Soul Nutrition.

In Vedic philosophy, there’s a parable I absolutely love—one that speaks directly to how we lose ourselves, and more importantly, how we can rebuild.

Imagine your body as a city.

A sacred, living city with nine gates—two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, a mouth, a sexual gate, and an elimination gate. These are your entry points. Your exits. Your filters.

The King of this city is your consciousness.

The Queen? She’s your intelligence—your discernment, your logic, your inner knowing. And like any good queen, she has her knights: the five senses.

But oh, these knights... they got girlfriends.

Desire. Pleasure. Temptation.

They whisper things like:

"Another drink won’t hurt. More sugar. More sex. More scrolling. More drama."

The Queen, in her effort to keep the people happy, listens. And she starts opening the gates.

Junk food. Trash TV. Toxic relationships. Gossip. Fear. Porn. Noise.

And what enters those gates… starts to tear the city down from the inside.

Now enter the guardian of the city—a cobra-headed snake. This is your life force. Your prana.

And when the Queen or King misuses their power and the gates become chaotic, even the snake turns on you.

Suddenly, there’s sickness. Confusion. Depression. Rage.

You’ve got a city with no control. No security. No center. And baby, that’s a recipe for collapse.

That’s when you hit your Tower Moment.

A breakdown. A dark night. A spiritual death.

And from there—you either rebuild… or shut down for good.

Here’s what this story teaches:

You are the gatekeeper. You control the flow.

What enters and exits your body, your mind, your soul—it’s your responsibility.

Most people don’t guard the gates at all. They’ll let anything in… and never check what’s leaking out. Lack of gatekeeping is the root of emotional instability, spiritual burnout, and generational trauma.

So if you're always tired, angry, confused, or unmotivated—check your gates.

Let me break it down:

Mouth Gate: Watch what you eat. Watch what you say. Your words are spells and your food is fuel.

Ear Gate: Don’t let noise, gossip, or trash music poison your spirit. Listen to what heals.

Eye Gate: What you watch becomes your vision. Protect it.

Sexual Gate: Your womb, your seed—they are sacred. Don’t give that power to just anybody.

Lower Gates: What’s going in is directly affecting what’s coming out. And if it's toxic, the whole system suffers.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness.

Be intentional about what enters your city. Be sacred with what you release.

"Let the finest words touch your tongue.

Let only nourishment enter your belly.

Let your skin be touched by those who hold you with care.

Let your ears drink in peace, knowledge, and wisdom.

Let your eyes stay filled with beauty."

And watch how your city begins to heal.

Watch how your gates strengthen.

Watch how your life starts to rise.

Because when you’re aligned?

When the Queen &King are wise, the knights are loyal, the snake is calm, and the gates are protected… your kingdom flourishes.
