Half our bodies are made of water; we are born in it… Water is used as a conduit to spirit, which is why we keep clean water on our ancestor altars. Of course It is also cleansing.

You can read the glass of water on your altar to determine the level of activity of spirit. If you work your altar regularly you may begin to see fine bubbles in the water.
